MMG talent roster gets nods from GLAAD's Outstanding Reality Program and Print Journalism categories

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — JANUARY 7, 2026 Morrison Media Group (MMG), the impact communications studio formally founded last fall by Emmy Award–winning journalist and media strategist, Tony Morrison, today announced that MMG clients Robbie Simpson and Tim Schraeder Rodriguez were nominated for the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, honoring media that advances fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of LGBTQ people and stories.

At a time when LGBTQ lives and narratives are increasingly under pressure — challenged in classrooms, in legislatures, and across news & entertainment media alike — these nominations serve as a powerful reminder of what storytelling can do when it is honest, human, and unafraid. Our stories create connection. They challenge fear. And they endure.

Both MMG nominees continue to build momentum beyond the GLAAD recognition:

Tim Schraeder Rodriguez’s forthcoming book, Conversion Therapy Dropout, which chronicles his experience of eight years of 'conversion therapy' while working at evangelical megachurches, releases on May 5. Rodriguez shares today's honor with the bitter-sweet observance of International Day to End Conversion Therapy, organized by The Trevor Project. After embracing his identity as a gay Christian and stepping away from church work, he co-founded Church Clarity, an organization that helps queer people find affirming faith communities.

Robbie Simpson, who's television work has included a recurring role as Chad on General Hospital (ABC), and appearances in The Path (Hulu), Dietland (AMC), and Horror Movie (SyFy), is kicking off the new year from Australia, acting as associate director for the international run of the off-Broadway production of Afterglow, of which he was an original cast member in 2017. Robbie is also currently the Director of Creative Development for Midnight Theatricals in New York City, serves as the Director of Musical Theater at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and is a faculty member at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, continuing his commitment to bold, emotionally resonant storytelling from screen to stage.
