Save HIV Funding Campaign

About the Save HIV Funding Campaign:
Launched in 2023 by PrEP4All, AVAC, and the HIV Medicine Association in partnership with the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership, the Save HIV Funding Campaign is supported by over 150 national and local organizations. The campaign began in response to proposed Congressional cuts to federal HIV programs and has successfully helped avert over $3B in domestic HIV funding cuts. In early 2025, the campaign expanded in response to the escalating efforts to dismantle essential HIV services and infrastructure. Today, Save HIV Funding continues to mobilize advocates, patients, healthcare providers, and public figures to ensure access to lifesaving care for everyone impacted by HIV.

About SHF Co-Founder and executive director of PrEP4All, Jeremiah Johnson:

Jeremiah Johnson is a nationally recognized HIV policy expert and public health advocate working to end HIV in the United States. As a leader with the Save HIV Funding Campaign and PrEP4All, he helps shape national conversations around HIV prevention, federal funding, and access to lifesaving care.
With deep expertise in federal HIV appropriations and prevention policy, Jeremiah translates complex policy decisions and public health data into clear, urgent public understanding. His work underscores that HIV remains a present and political issue — and that access to PrEP and treatment depends on sustained federal investment and accountability.
He has been a leading voice on PrEP access for un-and-underinsured populations, HIV data integrity, Medicaid access for people living with and vulnerable to HIV, Ryan White funding preservation, and the real-world impact of policy decisions on marginalized communities, particularly Black, Latino, rural, and LGBTQ populations. His work bridges policy analysis and media accountability to ensure public discourse reflects both urgency and accuracy.
Jeremiah remains focused on protecting and expanding access to prevention and treatment — keeping the goal of ending HIV as an epidemic within reach.
